Core Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]

Barre class. This was the most difficult class she's taught. It definitely tested my limits.

Note

Last night, Colorado was hit by some devastating weather. A massive hailstorm passed over my house around midnight.

And this is the aftermath:

Just yesterday, I was walking around my yard, thinking how beautiful it was...the flowers were just coming out, my veggie garden was just taking off. I literally thought, "I think I'm done. Now just to enjoy it."

If I was a religious person, I'd say this was God punishing me for being too prideful. But, I'm not, so...Mother Nature is just a bitch, sometimes.

Body Pump. I felt really good!

Strength Training 1:00:00 [3]

Body Pump class. I could feel that I hadn't been to class for a while.

Note

This week's CSA bounty:

- 1 bunch mint
- 1 head green leaf lettuce
- 1 head red leaf lettuce (this was beautiful)
- 1/3 pound arugula
- 1 bunch radishes...yay

So, tonight I blanched some snap peas, plunged them into an ice bath, and then mixed them up with a little olive oil, Maldon salt flakes, and some of the fresh mint. It was delicious!

Tomorrow I'll make a salad with the arugula, a little oil and citrus champagne vinegar, and shaved parmesan. Yum.

Orienteering race 1:15:35 [4] 5.8 km (13:02 / km) +295m 10:23 / km

This was not quite as much fun as the night-O, mainly because I headed out too soon after eating breakfast. My stomach was not happy pretty much the entire race. That combined with very warm temps made it a death march at times. I had trouble on #4, where I question the mapping of the rock, but I eventually found it and that was the only control that gave me issues.

The view from one of my controls:

I didn't hang around too long after coming in because I had to get back to Denver to do my volunteer shift at the Botanic Gardens. It was a busy weekend!
