Running 54:21 [3] 3.5 mi (15:32 / mi)
A nice trail run in Chatfield State Park. It was an absolutely beautiful day, and I thought the park would be packed, but when I pulled into the parking lot we used last week, it was empty. Lots of broken glass on the ground, though. The ranger had warned us last weekend that they had had several car smash-ins in that lot, and I guess it was continuing. So, I went to the lot by the scuba divers since I knew they would be there for awhile.
I ran out on the trail on the east side of the Platte river, out in the open and the sunshine. Then scootched in between two of the ponds, on a small indistinct trail, and back on the trail through the woods, down by the river. Definitely saw more folks *on* horses than off, and I was amazed at the variety of consistency of horse poop. Who knew??
And, my knees felt and feel great. So fine.
