Dog Walking 20:00 [1]

Cycling 1:00:00 [2]

Quite a fine day. Worked a little in the garden this morning, planting some lavender and cleaning up some weeds. Then I took a bike ride over to Marnie's to drop off some flowers. They weren't home (probably at the hospital), so I left the flowers on the porch, in my water bottle. Logan made it through surgery and has been in ICU since Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

Then, since Marnie lives near the Botanic Gardens, I stopped by there for a stroll. I ended up staying about 2 hours. This is such a beautiful botanic gardens, and they had opened up a bonsai section that I hadn't seen yet. This is not like any Wyoming sagebrush I've ever seen!

Dog Walking 20:00 [1]

A stupid bee stung me! I was just walking along, minding my own business, when I felt a sharp pain on my ankle. I swatted the bee away and then squashed it, but now my ankle is swollen and very sore. Those stings hurt!

Hiking 48:11 [3] 2.93 mi (16:27 / mi)

A late evening hike around Wash Park. My bee (or maybe it was a yellow jacket) sting still hurts and now itches, too. '

Cycling 1:08:50 [3] 15.8 mi (13.8 mph)

A nice after work ride on the Cherry Creek trail to the S. Platte River and down past Alameda. Saw a cormorant and a white egret (heron?) in the river.

Barre class, but without my pal, Marnie. She found out last week that her 20 year old son has a brain tumor. He's going in for surgery on Wednesday. She's a wreck. I tried to console her today, but we both just ended up in tears.

Dog Walking 20:00 [1]

Cycling 1:25:00 [3] 18.1 mi (12.8 mph)

A pretty leisurely ride on Cherry Creek trail due to some stiffness and pain in my knees. Had to squeeze in a ride between thunderstorms.
