Orienteering race 1:15:00 [3] *** 4.9 km (15:18 / km)
After a few crazy days of house hunting in Denver, it was nice to get away to the mountains for a little orienteering with RMOC. I had planned on doing the Night-O on Saturday night, but the combination of a slight blizzard, freezing hands and feet, and a delayed start led to the final decision of bagging it and heading to the warm hotel.
Returned today, though, for a very enjoyable Green course on the Buena Vista map. I did a little more running than at West Point and my knee was feeling fine. My lungs, however, were screaming from the lack of oxygen at 9000', so there was still a fair amount of walking, especially up the hills. Navigation was okay...not perfect but okay.
I'm really looking forward to moving to Denver and becoming a member of RMOC. Such a fine and active club, with some really great people.
