Orienteering race 56:20 [3] *** 3.5 km (16:06 / km) +140m 13:25 / km

West Point Middle Green Y. This was a pretty straight-forward course. I fast-walked the entire thing until #13, at which point I "ran" to 14 and in to the finish. Other than being suckered into checking out another control on my way to #1...the whole time telling myself, "That is *not* your control. You *know* it's not your control. Why do you keep moving towards it??!!?"...I went straight to each control. A few of them I saw from quite far away, and it was very frustrating stumbling my way over all of the rocks and downed trees, trying to get to the control quickly.

It pretty much sucks to be injured.

Hiking 1:20:47 intensity: (1:00:00 @2) + (20:47 @3) 4.57 mi (17:40 / mi) +242m 15:11 / mi

Out for another hike in Jockey Hollow. I opted not to do the Grand Loop today because the weather looked a little iffy, and I didn't want to be too far from the car in case the heavens decided to open up. That didn't happen, although it was grey and sprinkling the entire time. The temps were quite warm; the warmest this year. And the park was packed.
