Running 56:00 intensity: (28:00 @2) + (28:00 @3) **

I had to go to Suffern to pick up the controls for the meet next weekend, so I decided to run some trails at Jackie Jones. I didn't feel like orienteering, really; just a nice run on some trails...which I did. It was a beautiful day out, and I parked at one of the water stops on the Red Long course at the Team Trials, on the eastern edge of the map. I ran up for a bit and then down to get to the big east-west trail that runs through the map. I ended up on top of Jackie Jones Mt. at one point and started to climb the fire tower. But it was just rickety enough to make me turn around after two flights of stairs.

On the way up (and down), I passed some ruins on the trail and Googled them when I got home. I found out that it was a mansion built by the vice president of Karo Corn Syrup as his summer home. He had a very nice view.
