Orienteering race 49:11 [3] 4.6 km (10:42 / km)

HVO local meet at Loantaka Park. Red course.

And when I say local, I mean local. This was about 10 minutes from my house. I had run, gotten home, and showered by 1:00 pm. So fine.

The course was fun. It's a narrow county park, so there was a lot of criss-crossing. The woods are pretty open, so it was nice running. I hit them all pretty much right on except for #5, where I drifted too far right and had to come back. I also took a pretty bad fall, smashing down on my knee. But otherwise, it was a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

A near disaster. Graham has been out in California for the past 2 weeks, and I was convinced that he was coming back tomorrow, into the Philly airport. I had written it in my date book months ago, planned for it tomorrow evening, had planned a workout in the gym tonight... But today, Tanner asked when I was leaving for the airport. I said, "Tomorrow?" And he said, "No, tonight. Graham comes in tonight." This was at 6:00; Graham's plane was scheduled to land at 8:25. I was in Basking Ridge, the plane was coming in to Philadelphia!

Ack! Mad scramble at work to finish up a few things, left many more unfinished, and flew out the door. Medium levels of traffic, and I was there with 10 minutes to spare. Phew!

So, an unplanned "rest" day.

10 AM

Yoga 1:00:00 [2]

I remembered the class started at 10:00 this time. I also found out about a Yoga Boot Camp class that I might sign up for. It sounds interesting.
11 AM

Strength Training 25:00 [2]

I decided to wait around for a Core class that started at 11:45, so I worked out on some of the weight machines in the interim.
12 PM

Core Conditioning 30:00 [2]

This is a good class except when I have to use the stability ball. Being not very stable, this is difficult and I fall off a lot. Not a pretty sight.
6 PM

Running (trails at JH) 37:56 [3] 3.3 mi (11:30 / mi) +96m 10:33 / mi

A good run at Jockey Hollow in the right direction...rocks uphill, smooth downhill. It was almost a little cool tonight, finally!
