Orienteering race 47:04 intensity: (20 @2) + (10:40 @3) + (36:04 @4) *** 3.9 km (12:04 / km) +175m 9:51 / km
ahr:156 max:165

Ran It Granite, Green Y, Middle. This started out horribly. I ended up with the worst split of everyone on Green Y on #1. My only defense was that I came running from setting up the finish, almost late to start, and was discombobulated and not concentrating from the start. After that, it went well, navigationally. I just couldn't breath because of my recent bout with bronchitis. And, it was very, very hilly.

I went for a short run in PWF today, and I felt better during this run than yesterday's. We'll see how I feel this evening. I felt like I was running my average speed, but my max heart rate was the highest it's been this year, so I guess my lungs were still not at top form.

It was a beautiful day today, absolutely stellar. Blue skies, sunshine, and just enough coolness in the air to make it good running weather. I saw some people on the trails, which is always nice. A couple of families with teenagers in tow who looked like they wanted to be anywhere else rather than on a hike with their parents. I know that look well.
