Yoga 40:00 [1]

I am back in New Jersey for a few days. I didn't get to do my yoga this morning because work got busy very early, so I brought the DVD with me and worked out in the hotel room. That was kind of cool. It opens up another opportunity to work out.

Orienteering race 25:58 [4] 2.9 km (8:57 / km)

Qualifying sprint at Lake Fairfax. I ran this early so I could help Valerie with registration and e-punching, and the ground was still very icy and slippery. I overshot #4, which put me way behind, but it was still a fun course.

Orienteering race 30:44 [3] 2.6 km (11:49 / km)

Final A at Lake Fairfax. I was busy helping to start people in the very hectic finals, so I couldn't start at my appointed time. Plus, we ran out of Final B maps, so I just grabbed a Final A map and ran it with Valerie. We made a bonehead move while trying to cross the big stream, but otherwise it went well. It's always fun running with Valerie!

Orienteering 26:58 [2] 2.3 km (11:43 / km)

And, finally, Dave Pruden and I went out to collect controls.

This was a great meet...the running was a lot of fun and the potluck Winter Meeting afterwards was very enjoyable.

Tanner called today from Greensboro, NC. That's where he's living now, with his girlfriend. He enrolled himself in the community college down there, and called today to tell me he got a 101 on his first test in reading and a 95 on his study skills test. "Mom, I love college," he told me. Life is good.

Cycling (Trainer) 45:00 [2]

Stayed inside today because we finally got snow! I took the dogs for a walk, and they went crazy in the snow. They loved it.
