Cycling 41:06 [2]

Another weekend out of town. This time, the boys and I headed to Wintergreen with some friends for some more skiing. And another skiing weekend with no skiing. Wintergreen hasn't gotten the snow the other areas have, so the slopes were very, very icy, the lift lines were 20+ minutes, and the temps were in the single digits. None of those appeal to me, so I opted for some time on a trainer in the gym.

Running 1:00:00 [3] 6.5 mi (9:14 / mi)

Ran on the Battlefield road while Graham was at a soccer game. It was another beautiful day, and 34 degrees even felt warm. I felt better today than yesterday, but I think that's because the battlefield isn't quite as hilly as my neighborhood route. Things are looking up!

Running 42:24 [3] 4.6 mi (9:13 / mi)

I still didn't feel wonderful, but it was a little better than last time. And it was a beautiful day today, the sun was shining, the streets were clear, and there was no wind. For some reason my hip flexors were particularly sore today. I'll have to try to stretch them out some more.

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Considering the weather today (sleety, windy and freezing) and the condition of the neighborhood roads (refrozen slush with nothing plowed), I opted to stay inside for a trainer session. And there was no shuffling for me...oh, no, I powered through. I also got to watch one of my new favorite shows, "Friday Night Lights."

Running 43:06 [3] 4.6 mi (9:22 / mi)

Went for the neighborhood run and it was not a good one, at all. I just felt bad for the whole run. Not sick or anything, just tight and slow. It might be that I haven't run on the road for awhile. I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Cycling 40:00 [2]

After a weekend down at Va. Tech visiting Caitlin and attending various Pi Beta Phi parent activities, all I could muster was a session on the trainer. It was made tolerable by the fact that I was watching the Dixie Chicks haul away an armful of Grammys. I guess they were right all along.
