Cycling 30:16 [3] 6.51 mi (12.9 mph) +70m

I bought a new car yesterday! After I saw the VW settlement was approved, I followed Tim Parsons' example and bought a Golf Alltrack before inventory was depleted. So this morning I had to bike back to the dealership to pickup my old car.

Cycling 30:00 [3] 7.02 mi (14.0 mph)

Today was an unbelievably windy and cold day. If I closed my eyes, I could imagine I was in Laramie. I am intimately familiar with the weather because I spent 2 hours waiting in line at the DMV this morning, 1 hour of it outside of the building. And that only confirms my belief that there are too many people in No. Virginia.

Then I spent the afternoon working on orienteering administrative stuff which I had been neglecting through last week. After all of that fun, I decided it was time to go to the gym for some cycling. My boot comes off (hopefully!!) on Tuesday, and I'll be ready to do some serious walking. Fast walking.

Cycling 30:00 [3] 7.77 mi (15.5 mph)

Oh look! What is this?? Some training in my log? Amazing.

I tried to go for a ride yesterday on my road bike, but the twisting motion to clip out of my pedals was too sketchy for my foot. So today I went to the gym and rode the stationary bike, sans clips. It was a good workout...rolling hills. Plus, I got to watch the Redskins beat the Eagles. Win-Win.

Cycling 5:00 [1]
