A loop around Wash Park.

Orienteering 45:57 [3]

RMOC's annual Corn Maze-O at Anderson Farms. I got totally screwed up in the letters and had to go back out of them and approach that control from another direction. So much fun!

Hiking 46:07 [3] 3.1 mi (14:53 / mi)

A walk around Wash Park after a few days of cold rain.

Hiking 56:47 [3] 3.6 mi (15:46 / mi)

A lap and a little more with my friend, Lisa. It definitely went a little faster than normal, both in speed and in perception. We were talking the whole time and before I knew it, we were done. Such a fine way to get it done.

Hiking 50:23 [2] 3.1 mi (16:15 / mi)

A lap around Wash Park. I wasn't going to do this because it had gotten late and dusky. I thought the park would be cleared out, but in fact, it was packed. I guess everyone gets out later.

Cycling 2:25:00 [3] 35.0 mi (14.5 mph)

We went on an adventure! I wanted to see how difficult/easy it would be to bike to work, so we headed north. I work on 120th Ave., but the trail hit a detour at 104th, so we turned around. That was close enough.

It was a beautiful day! 91F and bright sunshine. I convinced Mikell to stop at REI on the way home so I could get an iced tea (a la peggyd) and we could sit and watch the river. A wonderful day.

Orienteering 48:12 [3]

I didn't get out on a course today, but I did get out to pick up controls. What a beautiful day it was! I took the Red and Green maps so I could run them in the future.

Hiking 50:12 [3]

A lap around Wash Park. A little slower tonight because my left knee hurt. It felt like a ligament was twisted or something. I would stop and stretch it out, and then it felt good. But after a while, it would get tight again. I stopped about 4 times total to stretch it.

Orienteering 1:12:00 [3]

Mikell drew up a course on the eastern side of Diamond Bay, so we headed up for a little orienteering. While it was warm and sunny in Laramie, by the time we got to the map, it was cold and foggy. I headed out, with the intent of doing most of the course, just cutting off the northern part. But after disasters at #1 and #3 and a growing pain in my heel, I cut it even shorter and just sort of bee-lined to the finish. That was too bad because it was a beautiful area and the part of the course I did was fun. I'm saving the map for a future attempt.

Cycling 2:25:00 [3]

A nice tour around Laramie. Saw a lot of construction, some new roads, and many new homes. All of my decaying body parts felt fine, except for my bum...it's not used to being in the saddle for this long.

Hiking 1:10:00 [3]

And then a late afternoon hike at Happy Jack, with a little rain thrown in for good measure.

Mt. Biking 32:14 [3]

A shortened ride on the prairie due to working later than I should have and an incoming massive storm. Pretty much as soon as I started out, a large fog bank was rolling into Laramie from the south. Soon after, a low black cloud appeared and lightning was crashing down everywhere. And then the rain started, and I figured it was time to head home.
