Note

I went to the doctor yesterday, and he gave me the first of three viscosynthetic injections to help lubricate everything in my knee. It feel weird going in...trying to cram in a bunch of liquid that didn't belong. It was kind of achey. I go back in 10 and 20 days for the second and third injections. He also said I had no limitations on activity, but I think I'm still going to take it a little easy to begin with.

My first activity was to walk around NYC with Caitlin, who is up visiting to celebrate Tanner's 21st birthday. It was a very exhausting day for me since I've basically been inactive for 6 weeks. I was very glad to get home and relax.

I'm sure the owner of this "car" won't be very glad:

Done!! Well, I was kind of done yesterday. I gave myself a present of ending one day early. But now I'm really done.

I go back to the doctor today for a check-up and a shot. I'm also going to ask about XC skiing and snowshoeing. I'm thinking I should be able to do those now. I guess this is the beginning of the next stage of this never-ending journey.

Only two weeks left, and a killer icicle is waiting for me on my front porch.

Halfway there!

I went to see my doctor today, and he removed the waterproof bandages from my knee. He also told me that he wants to do viscosupplement injections after I'm off crutches. I said okay.
