Core Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]

Barre class. The former instructor, Karen, is back to teach on Saturdays, and that made me so happy. She was really tough (and still is), so the workouts are extra good.

Skiing, X-C 1:13:00 [2]

Skiing in Wash Park! We got about a foot of snow overnight, so my neighbor, Barb, and I headed over to the park. And, as always, there was a lot of activity...skiers, snowshoers, snow bikers, runners, walkers, etc. It is such a great resource to have just 2 blocks away!

Strength Training 1:00:00 [3]

Body Pump. I went lighter on my shoulder weights, but otherwise, I felt fine.

Core Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]

I went to barre class tonight, and I could do everything, so that was good. My shoulder definitely feels much better.

Note

Rest day, pretty much out of necessity. Last night, while leaving my gym, I slipped down some icy steps and badly wrenched my shoulder. I was hoping it would feel better this morning, but no, it hurt to do pretty much everything. I've alternated ice and heat tonight and, hopefully, with some ibuprofen, it will feel better tomorrow morning. :-(

Core Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]

Barre class with a new instructor, who isn't as good as the last one.

Skiing, X-C 1:34:00 [3]

Winter did, indeed, arrive and there was fresh snow on the trails at Happy Jack. It really is wonderful to go skiing with fresh snow on the ground and more snow falling. Such a magical feeling. So happy I went out for ski jaunt before heading back home.

Mt. Biking 30:00 [2]

A quick ride to Staples through the prairie to pick up a new Apple TV remote for the GoT marathon tonight.

Orienteering 57:24 [2]

A less-than-inspired adventure at Pelican Bay. I started out in a corridor-O that SF devised, with the intention of switching to part of the course that he was flagging. Well, my energy was low, my left hamstring was tight, and when faced with the first formidable hill full of snow, I turned around and found my way back to the corridor and just completed that. It was enough for the day. And now we wait for winter to return.

Orienteering 1:10:00 [3] 6.5 km (10:46 / km)

I ran part of a course that Mikell was running. I ran better than I thought I would, but I could tell I was pretty rusty with my navigation.

It was another unbelievable day. I started out in a LS shirt, jacket and hat. Before I even got to the first control, I took off my jacket and hat, and they stayed off for almost the entire course. There were some snow drifts around, but nothing I couldn't get around.

Hiking 2:00:00 [2]

My sister, Karin, is in town for a few days to visit, and today we went on a hike at Three Sisters Open Space, by Evergreen. It was another incredible day, with temps around 73F. Yesterday was 76F!
