Bayfield to Madeline Island Point to La Pointe swim 2018

Water warm 68 deg F . Felt good at start and stayed a little (50m) N of the line for the first half with a couple of very short pauses for breastroke/navigation. Second half the wind , waves and current from the SW pushed folks to the N and there was a strong current coming round La Pointe so it was a tough fight to stay on the line and make progress. Many got carried 500m or more to the N . Slower times as a result but beat Julia by 1 min 1 sec.
