MNOC Afton Brown.

Foot was hurting so ran brown.

Control #4 212 was misplaced by about 100 m . It was in a long steep gully . Control was much higher up than shown on map . Arrived at right location but went down low and then worked way up to find it. Wasted 4 minutes there

Control # 5 216 ws misplaced by 70 meters and on the wrong cliff . Can directly out of control to the nearby campsite.

Rather boring brown course with 3 white level controls and legs not made any better with the misplaced controls and controls set in thicker areas

Kettle River from Sandstone to hwy 48 . A nice warm sunny day with 80 deg F high and full sun.

Started at just below big spring falls where there had just bee a brush fire so all the tall dried grass and ticks were gone .

Water flow was 490 cfs so a few bumps and scrapes and minor getting stopped by rocks . Didn't bother with spray skirt and only stopped once to sponge out .

One other group kayaking on the upper section and 5-6 groups fishing on lower section all enjoying the first warm day in a while
