Norwegian Champs. Relay 1st leg - 8th place.

Started out well, and ran safely via a big path to my 1st control. Approaching this alone - first. To the 2nd control all again came together and I started with following my plan, but then all the others ran very much more to the right than what I wanted. I ran with them for some meters before I was sure that this was wrong and broke out, the same did Siri Ulvestad and we found the control, again first. But we though the control was forked, so had no idea how we were lying in the field. But we were first. On the long leg to control 3, we got catched by Nikoline Ekeberg Schjerve, Ida Bjørgul, and Marianne Andersen. Marianne broke out after 2/3 of the leg, running smarter then the rest of us. And Ida broke out a little later. Nikoline, Siri and I approached our control without problems, and at the 4th control (the radio control) we were all alone. So we actually though we were first. Contrinued well to the 5th seeing no one else. To the 6th we made a small mistake inside of the control circle, and to the 7th I ran a little too fare left. At the arena passage we heard we were 6th-8th, 2 min behind. THis was a little disappointing. The last loop I was extremely tired and had to let the two others run away. I also hesitated quite a lot on these last controls and lost 1:30 min on this loop. Sent out my team in an 8th position.

In the end we were 36th.

Norwegian Champs. Middle Distance Finale - 23rd

Had a nice run in the forest, but eventhough I tried to push what I had, the speed just wasn't there. Loose time all the way, and when I additionally make one big mistake I have no chance at all for a good position.

I don't know exactly why I loose so much physically, but 1 issue is that I have focused sprint the week ahead of WOC, 2nd issue only 2 weeks after WOC (really hard to be mental fresh), 3rd issue sick between WOC and NM. Anyway, I simple wasn't good enough today.

Foot cooperated well at least!

Norwegian Champs. Middle Qual. - 11th in the 2nd heat (just through to the finale - only best 12)

Was unsure about my foot, but it was ok at the warm up. I did not warm up too long in order to safe the foot for the compitition. I started out controlled, and did a technical quite good race the first 6 controls and I was 3rd at this point. To the 7th I made about 20 sec mistake, the 8th was ok. To the 9th however I did not see the depression before the one the control was in at my map (hidden below the control circle) and I followed this one instead of the correct one.... When the control flag did not come, I had no clue what I had done wrong, and Ii had to serch for something to relocate. A difficult task, and I did not find anything that really helped me. First when I tried running upwards again I suddenly stumbled upon my control. After this I knew it could be tight, because I knew my speed was a little careful do to the ankle. I finnished fully ok, and came in as the leader. That made me think that I was sure to get to the final, but in the end it was very tight. I got 11th position, and it could have been 12th since one girl got disqualified.

Anyway, I am through to the finale and my foot was ok. So I am ready for tomorrow.

Norwegian Champs. Long Distance - 14th place

Unsure how ready my body was to compete after 1 week with a cold. But it felt quite ok, eventhough i did lack the top speed and I felt my head was a bit slow technically. DId however a descent first loop, and I was in 9th position by the arena passage. After that I started with a 2:30 min mistake (did not get the map in the first place, and then forgot to check where the control was places...). Since I knew my speed was a little too slow in the first place, I also knrew that this mistake would kick me fare down the results list, and I was a little demotivated. I tried to fight the rest of the course, but unfortunatly I twisted my ankle and limped the last two controls. So the last loop was just an disaster....
