Pyramid Mountain. This course is the reverse of yesterday's (with slightly different backdrops), but I was on the right hand bike. My PRs were about 2 sec/mile apart. Yesterday, I missed my PR by almost eight minutes, but today I rode hard and was doing well until I had just under 1.5 miles to go. Then the noise hit the fan. Fire alarm going off - but only one of them! Nobody in the Y moved to leave so I kept riding; with 0.2 miles to go, it stopped bleating. In the end, my ghost closed well, but I did hold him off by five seconds. This would imply a 15-20% difference in the bikes. Even if you assume I was just much better today, there is still clearly a large difference. Top 20% overall and age group. Improved my Y record by five seconds; margin is now 31 seconds (9 participants). P:219; C:64
