Walking/Hiking warm up/down 20:00 [1]
Much less walking today (and I combined, so most of this is cool-down).
Orienteering 1:12:53 [3] 5.6 km (13:01 / km)
Green X course
Started running gingerly, but ankle felt more "weak" than "painful" for most of the race. Was dying on the way to #3 when Kean Williams caught me - although he started 2 minutes ahead of me. We both caught Pete Bundschuh near #4, but then Pete and I went high to #5 and Kean went low(?!) and we lost him. Pete slowly opened up on me and I lost contact early on the way to #8. Near #8, Kean caught me again and beat me to it as I drifted right. Kean caught me again at #10 and we went parallel to #11, but I missed left and he opened up. In the end, he crossed the finish line 46 seconds ahead of me. Once again, not a bad race considering all factors, but I was last in my age group. Oh well, now I have a goal for next weekend.
