Running 42:00 [2] 3.2 mi (13:07 / mi)

Backpacking 1:00:00 [1] 3.0 mi (20:00 / mi)

Gear test up and around the hills behind the house.

Full story: After eleven years, my Arc'teryx backpack was wearing out. In particular, the shoulder straps were frayed and the padding exposed. I took a picture and emailed it to the company asking about a replacement - joking that I had been told that the entire pack had a lifetime guarantee. I was called within an hour and told that it WAS COVERED. Determining the size was tricky, but with the help of the rep, that happened, too. They immediately sent a replacement. When it arrived, I thought it was too small and emailed again; this time it took fifteen minutes for the same guy to call and talk me through the installation of the newer, slightly differently designed part. Overall - BY FAR THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!

(Oh, I should add that the test went flawlessly.)
