After setting a PR by 86 seconds last time out, I was merely hoping for "minimal regression", but I shaved another 18 seconds today! Go figure.

Was supposed to be cutthroat with Brian and Jerry, but Brian was a no-show. Jerry's skills are coming back as his shoulder heals, but his stamina is weak. Even if he gets on a run, he gets so tired that he can't even be competitive when it's over.

Game 1: Competitive at 8-7 before I won 15-7.
Game 2: I leapt out to a 13-3 lead before he found one last run and we traded serves for a while before I won 15-6.

No instructor so we all got sort of loose while agreeing on what we would do as a class. Power to the people!

Pool was cool and I was "on fire". Set my PR on this workout by over a minute. Normally, I would assume that I skipped a lap, but I have all splits but one and they are all solid. The one "double" is exactly on target with the two singles that surround it. So, giving a lot of credit to the thermostat, I am psyched.

With Jerry and Larry. Jerry's shoulder is finally healing so he's beginning to make some real shots again. He was very happy with his play, if not his fitness.

Game 1: Jerry led 7-9-12 before I turned it on to win 15-9-13.
Game 2: After a three-way tie at 5, I steadily pulled ahead for a 15-8-9 win.
Game 3: I was the only one with energy and took off to a 13-3-2 lead before "hanging on" to win 15-9-4.

Tried the Ascension course. But before I got there, I pedaled at no resistance trying to get the screen activated before noticing that the power strip on the floor was turned off. Got to watch the whole thing boot; apparently the OS is the Fedora Linux distribution.

We didn't get much (essentially nothing by other folks standards), but it did manage to get heavy in the sunshine today.
