Unlike 'Bash, I had the pouring rain excuse until noon so I only got out this afternoon and did one lap of the trail, but the puddles were so bad, I skipped out on the second lap.
So at the end of class, when we are doing the stretch where we are often told to "curl your back and hug the tree", today I was told to be a "good Tree Hugger". Bash and 'Bent, I tried to live up to the standard; of course, it's an easier standard when you are only stretching...
Two laps of the River Trail, including a time out to deal with an abandoned bike (been there for two days) along the way. Called the town police when I got back; they said I was the second call in the last ten minutes so I guess the other biker who stopped at the same time made the call as well. Nice that the Trail is full of people who care.
Hosted a Scout event (Score-O style) for my next door neighbor's troop at Sprague Brook park. There would be three teams, so I put three ribbons (different colors) at each site and they had to pick them up in lieu of punching. An added bonus is that any site that gets three visitors needn't be picked up! I got to skip four of twenty-one sites this way and one of the leaders got the three extremal sites as they were all within 50m of a bounding road. So the pickup was fast which was nice because I had had enough...
