Expresso Speedway course. Finally completed the year's goal of riding each course at least once (and never counting two new courses in a day). Went as hard as I could for the whole time - as evidenced by the fact that cool-down took twice as long as the ride. Top 2% overall; top 3% age group. Still six seconds off the Y record, but in second place out of forty-seven. P:377; C:64

Twelve days of Christmas: 12 bicycle crunches, 11 high knees, 10 chair dips, 9 prisoner squats, 8 tuck jumps, 7 Roman twists, 6 lunges, 5 jumping jacks, 4 push ups, 3 burpees, 2 sumo squats and a 30-second plank (with variety as the verses change. (Plus she made us do a bit more when the song was over.)

Rolling Thunder course. Jumped in front of my ghost, but he caught me at the 3/4 mile mark. That scared me and I tried to really push it in, beating him by 3 seconds. Top 2% overall; top 4% age group. Widened my Y record - now twenty seconds. P:354; C:63 (not sure, but both may be PRs)

Redwood Dash. Shifted to the top gear and went all out for as long as I could and then kept it up. Lungs still feeling it an hour later. Top 2% overall; top 4% age group. Best at the Y all time (out of forty-five) by eighteen seconds. P:308; C:60

Mini-Mayhem course. Opened up a few seconds on my ghost until it turned out that he had one helluva kick. Held him off by one second to match yesterday's time on the same length/climb course. Top 5% overall; top 10% age group. Only third out of fifty-six all time at the Y, two and nine seconds off the pace. P:262; C:58.

Campus Loop course. Opened up four seconds on my ghost in the first half and held on for a three-second victory. Really pushed it. Top 5% overall; top 10% age group. Improved my margin as the all-time Y record holder (from four to seven seconds) out of the fifty-one registrants. P:261; C:58.
