Vindicator course. On the right (easy) bike. Started strong and began to pull away from my ghost, steadily opening up what was eventually almost a 2-minute lead. Top 20% overall and age group. Extended my Y record a bit.

And so, the "gang" returns after sabbaticals running from 8 months to 2 years. Cutthroat with Dan and Jerry. LOTS of rust although Dan made a half dozen dives to return shots that Jerry and I stood and watched become winners because we couldn't believe that he had reached the ball.

First game: Led 20-14-2, but lost 20-21-3 (combination of great play by Dan and psychological let down on my part)
Second game: Led 20-14-5, but won 21-14-5. (no let down here)

Pyramid Mountain course. Was on the right (easier) bike today and slowly pulled away from my ghost who gained on me only when I was at a terrain disadvantage, e.g. going up while he was still on the flat. Top 20% overall; missed top 15% by seven seconds. Top 20% age group. Took the seasonal best at the Y by several minutes. Extended the margin of my all-time record from twelve to fifty seconds. P:219; C:61.

Walk turned into a run when they announce that the track was closing in ten minutes. Then, as I was on my last lap, the PA system apologized; the person read the wrong time and it was closing in two hours, not two minutes. Oh well.

Ascension course on the bike that still feels stiff. I also felt a bit under the weather (no sleep) so it wasn't a good ride. Bottom half overall and age group; 12% behind my PR. Very saddle sore at the end... Got the Y season record by default; still hold second all-time at the Y, but this ride would have been fourth out of six. P:209; C:56
