I felt good about today. Things were a little slow because I made some mistakes that I shouldnt have made early on in the race. I need to slow down and take it easy on the pace because my navigation is suffering as a result.

mileage and time are an estimation today. We did a warm-up then ran 7xtower to tower sprints, like the ODIA tag team workout two weeks ago. The workout was a good opportunity to get both some woods running and some hill repeats done at the same time.

Today was another practice course on brand new terrain and I was actually feelin pretty good. I made one or two small errors but other than that did not have a real problem, my two small errors were both when I mis read a feature and went to the wrong point (both were under 50m errors) but I would like to correct this, most of my problems seem to be me misreading the map and tryign to go to quickly, I still need to slow down more and get used to shifting gears and going slower when I get near my attack point.

Only went three miles today. I definately felt fine and am not sore, but I felt like playing it safe today and allow myself a full recovery.

Orienteering Meet race (Hudson Highlander) 3:48:00 [5] *** 19.4 mi (11:45 / mi) +600m 10:43 / mi

Hudson Highlander, I ran with Zach Schroeder and we did pretty well, we neded up as 6th and 7th place. There were a couple of route choice errors that slowed us down some but as a whole we did well with navigation and running. It was a very challanging race and it feels really good to finish...now we just need to get the t-shirts.
