Sprint Meet race 15:26 [5] 2.18 km (7:05 / km) +43m 6:27 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

New Park . Another tiny park and school. Felt much better overall today and the snow was much easier to run in. Made a small 25 second mistake but felt good out there on this map and physically compared to Saturday.
11 AM

Sprint Meet race 16:41 [5] 2.43 km (6:52 / km) +51m 6:13 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

This was the last race and was a "chase" race. It was hard to tell who was chasing who. 23 controls in 2.0k with lots of different loops and lots of different map courses so we seemed to be running into each other quite a bit. Also, some common controls were used 3 times in a course. Very fun event and I did well with the exception of #2 with a 45 sec error.

Sprint Meet race 21:05 [5] 2.83 km (7:27 / km) +14m 7:16 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

New Day, New Park. Another tiny park with some buildings and a lake. Mostly open with small hills and some small patches of green. Upon arrival I really regretted not having spikes or studs. The recent snow turned into ice and the paths were very slippery. No falls but 2 large mental errors did me in on this course
12 PM

Orienteering Practice 13:03 [3] 1.61 km (8:06 / km) +10m 7:52 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

Training with Route Choice and how to plan ahead. Got quite a bit out of this but stopped early so I could get some lunch. I did not have any car so wanted to make sure I got back in time for a ride to the next park
1 PM

Sprint Meet race 23:25 [5] 2.89 km (8:06 / km) +4m 8:03 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

After getting a bit to eat at a local cafe, I wandered back to the park but found I missed my ride. My phone had died so had no idea how to get to the next park which was quite a distance away. I hopped on a bus and he was helpful in putting me on the right transfer and I made it ..just late. This was a mass start Farsta. I was allowed to start but don't think my time counted
2 PM

Orienteering Practice 20:13 [3] 2.57 km (7:52 / km) +10m 7:43 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

The training was about visualizing and planning ahead. Very good training and it helped me figure out some things I was doing wrong
3 PM

Sprint Meet race 7:01 [5] 1.05 km (6:41 / km) +10m 6:23 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

2 person relay with each person doing a different course twice. Alternating and handing off the map each leg. I was paired with Tori Owen and she is an excellent Orienteer. I made a 45 second error on the first leg. At this point my legs were getting very tired.

Sprint Meet race 8:54 [5] 1.29 km (6:54 / km) +10m 6:39 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

2nd half of Relay. Small 30 second error but overall not bad. We finished 17th out of 50 teams

Sprint Meet race 18:33 [5] 3.3 km (5:37 / km) +30m 5:23 / km
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

First Sprint Race of Vancouver Sprint Camp. Some difficulties with ice and snow but no major errors on first course. I was expecting some type of trickery but the course was very straight forward and easy.
4 PM
