Beautiful sunny morning - as long as your back was to the wind or you were sheltered! Temps just below freezing so no mud. Supposed to be an easy run, but did go fast downhill (2min) and a fast 1 minute uphill at the end.

with Dougal from Gord's. My legs were pretty tired and I kept telling Brenda to go ahead, but she stayed with me till Dougal met up with us again. Finished up with the stairs. Managed to run about halfway (and Nicki does them 20 times - I can't even imagine...)
My heart rate disappeared soon after the start - and Philippa's wasn't working either. Must be all the radiation or something downtown...

Beautiful day (unlike the snowy day last year). Didn't make it under 50 - but oh so close... Maybe if I had started closer to the front of the pack? But then I might have gone out too fast. I was still passing people until the start of the long uphill. The last couple of km weren't easy... However, did manage 2nd in my age, less than a minute behind first - the really fast runners weren't there! So the prize of running shoes still eludes me. Great brunch after at the Glencoe Club with fantastic draw prizes - and, no, I didn't win any of them either.
