Sunday Jan 24 #

running 1:40:00 [3] 9.0 mi (11:07 / mi)

Turfing. Ridge, Woodhouse, City Centre, Burley, Headingley. Mostly gentle. Nice running round the city centre. Also some dodgy places that I didn't feel happy about waiting around for 45 seconds.

Saturday Jan 23 #

running 1:52:44 [3] 10.8 mi (10:26 / mi)

Bowshaws. Bit tired. Not so muddy because of the frost.

Friday Jan 22 #

running 44:00 [3] 4.3 mi (10:14 / mi)

20 minutes warm up
6 x 2 mins(1 min) Weetwood and Lawnswood
7 minutes warm down

not as bad as I feared. Quad now ok.

Wednesday Jan 20 #

running 1:40:00 [3] 7.8 mi (12:49 / mi)

Super slow plod around Woodhouse Ridge, Sugarwell, Stainbeck, King Alfred's and Meanwood, stopping every few minutes to collect some turf points. Quite happy to have a little rest at each location. Sometimes it took a bit of wandering around to put myself in the zone. Some of them are quite randomly placed in relation to the feature they claim to represent.

Quad was fine at first and I was only going slowly. I only intended to do about 1 hour/5 miles/6 zones but was tempted into doing more. By the end my thigh was quite sore again. And it was very wet and gloomy by the end.

Definitely not orienteering and not really much like running, but a pleasant enough diversion.

Tuesday Jan 19 #

running 1:12:28 [3] 8.2 mi (8:50 / mi)

Butcher Hill, Woodside, Horsforth Station, Holt Park, Adel Lane. Got a sore left quad as I came down the hill from the top of Cookridge which slowed me down in the second half.

Monday Jan 18 #

running 26:26 [3] 3.2 mi (8:16 / mi)

Lawnswood, Weetwood. No ice. Tired legs.

alternative training 10:00 [3]

Barbell squats up to 37.5kg
