hill running 2:15:40 [3] 11.2 mi (12:07 / mi) +800m 9:55 / mi

An old favourite from my youth. Clay Bank, Botton Head, Seave Green, Cold Moor, Cringle Moor, straight off Cringle End to the miner's path, back up Cold Moor, Hasty Bank.

Always a bit of a struggle up the hills after some excessive climbing yesterday, but I got up them all until I faltered in the rocks at the Wainstones. I just had to walk the top part of the climb and even that was painful.

All the Cleveland Way sections are paved with awkward blocks. Back in the 90s there wasn't any paving. There was lots of erosion though.

Managed to dodge the rain and it was actually quite hot in the sun.

orienteering 1:00:00 [3] 4.0 km (15:00 / km)

Control checking in Danefield. Not as unpleasant as I was expecting. In fact quite nice really. Very slow.
