hill running 1:09:18 [5] 7.8 mi (8:53 / mi) +300m 7:56 / mi

Sourby, Dearncomb Beck, Round Hill, Sourby. Working hard.

Had a tumble after 3 miles or so. I was aiming to cross a nasty red coloured bog by means of a handily placed railway sleeper, but missed my footing just in front of it. My chest took the full force of the sleeper and is now grazed and bruised. I had a choice of nutting the sleeper or nutting the bog and clearly the bog was going to hurt less. I was wiping red slime off my face for the next couple of miles.

Very much faster than previous efforts up here.

Speed and Strength 44:00 [4] 3.0 mi (14:40 / mi)

Same session as two weeks ago, but with a different (longer) set of steps for the bunny hops.

10 x 10 secs sprint
5 x 20 secs bunny hop steps
2 x 1.5 mins uphill high bounds
4 x 2 x 10 hopping
Donkey Steps sprint 34.4 (having to stretch to reach the steps near the top, slowing me down).

More glorious summer weather - gales and a bit of light rain.
