running 52:56 [4] 6.5 mi (8:09 / mi) +200m 7:26 / mi

I don't know what's going on really. Stayed in bed all morning feeling weak and tired and eventually got up and forced myself out for a run. Started off steadily and felt ok, and got progressively quicker until I was coming back through the park pretty much flat out. One of my best times in muddy conditions I think.

Blister is now a large weeping sore, but it wasn't bothering me on the run.

Note

Didn't feel much like running. Walked to Woodlesford along the canal and got a large blister and a sore calf for my trouble. Nice afternoon.

I was interested to see what was happening to the island at Knostrop, which has disappeared for about half a mile, along with the footbridge and the path.

running 46:24 [3] 5.2 mi (8:55 / mi)

Last run from the Dakota, I hope. Feeling knackered beforehand as well as having a cold, I wouldn't have bothered if Roger hadn't wanted to go. Out past America Farm and back along Kennel Lane. All on good surfaces it should have been easier than the previous runs but I died completely when we turned for home and had a little hill to climb. Just about kept going to the end.

running 57:11 [3] 6.5 mi (8:48 / mi)

From the Dakota, a loop of Annesley Forest including going round the bit on the other side of the motorway. More pleasant than Monday, because it was light for about half the run and because it was a lot less muddy. With Roger.

Still got a sore throat and took a while to get going.

running 54:48 [3] 5.9 mi (9:17 / mi)

From the Dakota, a loop of Annesley Forest and Byron's Walk with Roger. Very muddy in places, hard to make progress on the steep slopes. Finished with a sore throat.
