Pedrógão Norte, "butterfly" course. Good technical wooded sand dunes with lots of low level vegetation which made it harder work both physically and technically. Good on the first loop with only a couple of small misses in the circle. After a break to regroup at the common control I set off on the second loop and couldn't even follow a path right. Floundered around on a couple more as well, not at all confident.
Not very sure how far I went, as I cut off the last 4 controls, or how long I took, or how much time was spent waiting at controls for Tasha and Evie.
Lovely warm sunny day. A bit breezy when we went down to the beach after.

From Outeiro, down the hill at the front of the house, up to the windmills, then 6 x a circuit down to the saddle, down most of the way to Granja, then straight back up to the windmills. Steep, rutted tracks with a loose dry surface made it all a bit uncomfortable, and hard work. Then back the way I had come.
Seven Arches. Steady out to Bywater, then fast for the Scotland Wood section, about 1.5 miles in 12:20, then lolloped home. Tired legs, and heavy going in places. And cold.
