orienteering 1:11:31 [5] 11.0 km (6:30 / km)

Midland Champs, Sherwood Forest, M45L. Very fast area, runnable white forest and open heathery heath that was mostly not too heathery.

I was running flat out the whole way. Lost a few seconds at 2, 3 and 11, unable to see pits. 3 was the worst, I did a loop round the group of pits without seeing any of them then spotted them behind me. Maybe 20 seconds at 2, 40 seconds at 3, 11 was just a hesitation really.

I caught Chris McCartney at 14 and we were together until the end. I let him lead me off line at 20 when we were both confused by the extra path, but quickly realised what we had done and only lost 30 seconds maybe. I was struggling to maintain the pace right at the end but felt I ran pretty well.

Don't think I got the best route on the long leg but my time for it looks alright, considering my lack of running speed.

running 27:00 [2] 2.8 mi (9:39 / mi)

Slightly hampered by darkness. It was sort of light when I set off, definitely not light when I finished.

Thursday Feb 25, 2016 #

running 24:41 [2] 2.5 mi (9:52 / mi)

Oxley, very slow. Wearing a portable ecg from the hospital which is going to make life awkward for the next couple of days.

Tuesday Feb 23, 2016 #
