orienteering 1:10:00 [3] 6.0 km (11:40 / km)

3 different courses with Euan and Sam on Lyme Park. 1.6k, 1.2k, 1.6k, plus some running out and back for one of the courses. Cold and damp but not windy and nowhere near as bad as it was supposed to be. Quite enjoyable really.

orienteering 1:00:00 [3] 5.0 km (12:00 / km)

YHJS training, Macc Forest. Sunny but breezy and cold. 1 course shadowing 0.8k, 1 course on my own 1.6k, two lots of trains with the younger juniors, 1.4k, control collecting 1.2k. On the side of a big hill so lots of climb and not very quick, but good training in the nice contoury bit.

Note

Been busy the last 2 nights, and now I am feeling a bit poorly. I need to take it easy, so I will spend the next two days hanging controls in the wind and rain and sleeping on a hall floor.

running 12:05 [5] 1.6 mi (7:33 / mi) +60m 6:46 / mi
ahr:149 max:154

I had been planning to have a go at this and I felt better as the day went on so I thought I would see how it went. I was expecting to conk out but didn't. Climbing quite well.

running warm up/down 20:51 [2] 1.7 mi (12:16 / mi)

Jogging back. Didn't really bother with a warm up.

running 40:52 [3] 4.7 mi (8:42 / mi)
ahr:132

Spen Lane and Adel. Moving alright at first, then on the way down Adel Lane my left quad seized up and I had to ease off a bit. Stupid legs. The left quad wasn't a problem yesterday.

running 28:00 [3] 3.2 mi (8:45 / mi)

Weetwood and Lawnswood. Struggling, really. Couldn't sustain any sort of pace and my legs just seized up 5 minutes before the end. Painful.
