orienteering 1:21:34 [5] 9.8 km (8:19 / km) +360m 7:02 / km
ahr:149 max:159

Midland Champs M45L, Cannock Chase. Tried quite hard. A better run than last week with no mistakes. Still having problems making route choices - probably a minute or two lost. It was a better run than last week but everyone must have found it easier so a worse result - 12th M45.

17 minutes down on Bill and Clive, 14 down on Charlie.

In BOC 2010 I did 82 for 11.3k on more or less the same area, 13 minutes down on Bill.

Terrain running 22:30 [4] 3.0 km (7:30 / km)
ahr:152 max:158

Meanwood sprint course. Trying hard but moving in slow motion. At least I was quicker than the last time I did it, when I had permanent AF.

I can claim a bit of time back for it being wet and slippy and fallen trees blocking the path and the re-entrant that the council have decided to barricade for some reason. Also forgot which way to go at one point.

Things... can only get better.

running 50:29 [3] 5.3 mi (9:31 / mi)
ahr:135 max:146

Potternewton, Gledhow Park and Chapel A. Slow, just plodding. Some soreness in quads.

running 38:17 [4] 4.7 mi (8:09 / mi)
ahr:148 max:157

Spen Road, Spen Lane and Adel. Pushed much more confidently on the hills and moving along nicely despite tired legs. Another pb! Yay.

Road running is improving but it is clear from the weekend that I need to get in the terrain more.

Oxley. I didn't want to go dead slow, so sort of cruising along. Not feeling too bad after a hard weekend.
