running 56:21 [4] 6.5 mi (8:40 / mi)
ahr:148 max:154

Adel Crag. Started at a decent speed, planning to at least push my heart a little bit and see if I could beat the hour. Absolutely fine all the way, never any issues and I pushed the pace a bit more once I got into Adel Woods. A bit tired coming back and it was very wet and muddy in places, so the time is pretty good really. Best for a while.

Hooray for February.

orienteering 1:20:00 [3] 8.0 km (10:00 / km)

YH junior squad training at Brayton Barff. Quite happily jogged round a course to hang controls, then back to the car park, then went round the course Mr Moosehead had hung, then back to the carpark again, then did the route choice exercise competing against Mr M. I beat him twice - once when he had to re-hang a control mid-leg, and once when I gambled on a route straight across a block of open/undergrowth. Some of the later legs were verging on foolishly fast for me. Followed after lunch by some sprinting round a very short course which finally did for my heart, although only momentarily. I decided to call it a day after that.

Surprisingly enjoyable area, and as long as I didn't try to go too fast the heart was sound.

running 46:29 [3] 4.7 mi (9:53 / mi)
ahr:135

Spen Road, Spen Lane and Adel. Slow to start with, speeding up a little bit later on. My heart never felt entirely right and the HR was a bit high but I was running ok. Survived, I suppose, but not great.
