Went crazy. Stonegate Road, Street Lane to Oakwood, then the Wyke Beck path through to Halton, through Manston past the tank factory and along the old lane to Scholes, Barwick, Aberford, Towton, Tadcaster, Boston, Collingham, Scarcroft, Shadwell. Really enjoyed the first two hours, then turned for home and realised it was going to be a struggle. It was, but I enjoyed the struggle as well really.
The countryside east of Leeds is very nice for cycling, rolling hills with decent but fairly quiet roads. Leeds not so nice.
My arse hurts. This was on Tasha's good bike - a sort of hybrid that's really built for commuting, but gears, brakes etc all work really well and it doesn't creak like the other bike. It is also undeniably a girl's bike. It even has a little pink ribbon painted on the frame with the words "breast cancer awareness", which comforted me in my more difficult moments.
