running 1:20:00 [3] 8.0 mi (10:00 / mi) +300m 8:57 / mi
ahr:143

from Blubberhouses, up the river and the west side of Thruscross reservoir, round the top then back across Hanging Moor. It was a bit further than I had estimated but I was ok. No problems with the heart but I was careful not to push very hard. HR was a bit high for the speed maybe, and it crept up a bit on the few steep climbs, but everything ok.

Fast running is bad for me.

Terrain running 32:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:40 / mi) +100m 9:40 / mi

Just a jog, Falls of Bruar and a bit of Baluain Wood. The woods are beautiful here - lichen and moss on the floor and lovely open pine forest. Shame there is no detail. I could run uphill but I was not trying to run very fast. Feeling better than early in the week but not much better.

Note

Walk with Tasha, Stanley and Evie. From Loch Moraig above Blair Atholl to Carn Liath and back (the southern most summit of Beinn a Ghlo). Lovely day mostly, lots of sunshine. We could see showers sweeping across the other hills but none of them got us.

orienteering race 49:00 [4] 5.5 mi (8:55 / mi) +200m 8:00 / mi

JK relay, Newtyle Hill. Not in a very competitive team, just as well because I was exhausted. Struggled up the big hill out of the start then just plodded round. I didn't have much idea of racing against other teams - apart from getting overtaken on the run-in by CLOK (Nick Barber I think). Slow, palpitations.
