running 1:22:00 [3] 9.0 mi (9:07 / mi) +200m 8:31 / mi
ahr:135

Kirkstall, Newlay, Hawksworth Wood, Clayton Wood, Boddington Fields, Meanwood. A nice long plod in the snow, no AF issues, a bit tired (and dark) towards the end. The snow slowed me down a bit - 4 inches deep in places, and slippy where it had been trampled because it was beginning to thaw.

Fine.

Terrain running 1:13:00 [3] 7.5 mi (9:44 / mi) +350m 8:30 / mi

Plodding round Woodhouse Ridge, Sugarwell, Meanwood Hospital, Meanwood Park with as much terrain and hills as possible. Struggling with a defective heart today, and happy just to get round without grinding to a halt.

Friday Feb 3, 2012 #

running 1:10:00 [3] 8.0 mi (8:45 / mi) +200m 8:07 / mi

Just plodding out the miles. Butcher Hill, Horsforth Station, Cookridge, Adel. Both calves stiffened up towards the end. Very cold night.

running intervals 19:59 [5] 5.0 km (4:00 / km)

5 x 1k, 2 mins rest, West Park. Rested after 2 days off, and it was cold but dry. A bit faster this week. 4:01, 3:57, 4:02, 3:59, 4:00. Had a bit of trouble getting the HR up above 155 on the 1st and 3rd, but on the others it went up to 160 without any bother. Mostly fairly comfortable apart from going out on the last one where I suffered a bit and had to make up for it with a hard run back.

Good.
