orienteering 56:30 [4] ** 8.2 km (6:53 / km) +205m 6:07 / km

Brown course from 2 years ago in Adel and Meanwood. I wasn't really having to navigate a lot of the time but just wanted to do a bit more terrain running - and there were bits I have never been to before. Really really wet, very heavy going in places and getting a bit dark towards the end. I felt a bit more comfortable in the terrain than of late. Quite tired afterwards.

running warm up/down 40:00 [2] 3.5 mi (11:26 / mi)

Jogging out to Scotland Dam to start, and back from the far end of the hospital woods.

Meanwood valley terrain run. It's been very wet lately which made this very hard work, at times impossible to stand up. I could only get up the hill in Scott Hall Woods by grabbing onto trees. I would have been about 5 minutes quicker in dobbs but of course I was wearing road shoes. Not a bad time in the circumstances.

Lawnswood, trying hard but seemed to be going very slowly. Actually the time wasn't too bad to Lawnswood but I was slower down the hill from there.

running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 1.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Jog round Shaw Lane/Otley Road/Moor Road

Easing myself back to running gently - I had problems on Tuesday and didn't feel like it yesterday. Went up Stainbeck and down Stonegate, starting with 10 minutes at 130bpm, 5 minutes at 140, 5 minutes at 150 then trying to get up to 160. I eventually hit it after 9 minutes, sprinting down Stonegate Road, then jogged home from there at 130. ok ish.

running 37:00 [3] 3.5 mi (10:34 / mi)

Home from Leeds station. Heart went wrong within a couple of minutes of setting off. I really wasn't expecting that - I thought I had recovered from the weekend, not overtired, not had any alcohol or caffeine, took my supplements, and I had no hint of it during the day, and was fine running to catch the train. I hope it is just a bad day, and I will take a day off. Took a more direct route home, Clarendon Road, Headingley Lane, and struggled every step of the way, and continued to suffer into the next day.
