hill running 45:00 [3] 4.0 mi (11:15 / mi) +400m 8:35 / mi

From the Royalty down to West Chevin Road and back up again, twice. I was very very slow because the paths in the open were sheets of ice - all the mud and slush from yesterday frozen solid, and also because my heart wouldn't work properly and was jumping around all over the place going up the hill. I had to stop and walk some bits. Not very happy.

running 1:30:00 [4] 10.6 mi (8:29 / mi) +300m 7:48 / mi

Hunger Hills. HR was steady but too high the whole way round, maybe I am coming down with something. It was very hard work all the way with an inch of slushy snow covering already sodden ground - some of the time it was all I could do to stay on my feet (running in road shoes of course). Having said that I was moving reasonably quickly when I could get a grip.

Warm up round the Moor Road triangle

running tempo 28:46 [5] 4.0 mi (7:12 / mi) +120m 6:35 / mi

Lawnswood. Started with a bit to spare, except that at the Tannery I realised I had failed to start my watch (fail!) so I estimated 4 minutes to there. It was almost certainly less. After that I was pushing quite hard to make up the time I lost because of my estimate. I think I probably actually did less than 28:30 which would be my quickest since 2008. And the first time since October that I have managed to run at this sort of pace without AF problems. I knew those pumpkin seeds were working. I might even do some intervals next week.

running 12:30 [2] 1.5 mi (8:20 / mi)

Jog to the station.

running 37:00 [3] 4.5 mi (8:13 / mi) +180m 7:19 / mi

From Leeds station to home via Clarendon Road, Woodsley Road, Burley Road, Kirkstall Lane. Started slowly but picked it up from the climb up Clarendon. Not bad after that. Actually going quite quickly over Kirkstall Hill but then eased off a bit.
