Terrain running 1:13:40 [4] 7.5 mi (9:49 / mi) +350m 8:35 / mi

This is a run I devised when I mostly trained from my office in the middle of Leeds, designed to maximize the amount of terrain I could get into a lunchtime run. It is as physical as I could make it without being gratuitously unpleasant. Starting the run from home misses out a bit of tarmac and grass running in the centre of town. It is a run that requires strength and aggression. Today I attacked it with feebleness and timidity. I was just being a bit rubbish. Woodhouse Ridge, Scott Hall Woods, Sugarwell Hill, Stainbeck, Carr Manor Fields, Meanwood Hospital Woods, Meanwood, the Hollies, with as much up and down and off-path running as possible.

running long 1:48:00 [4] 13.0 mi (8:18 / mi) +350m 7:40 / mi

Kirkstall Bridge, Calverley Bridge, Hunger Hills, Runway Lights, Oil Mill Beck, Butcher Hill. Tired after a difficult week at work, then Duncan made me stay up til 1am drinking beer and listening to Geography teacher music. Once I got going I was fine though, no trouble with the heart, legs comfortable enough, cruising nicely. Found the hills hard work mind.

running 32:00 [3] 3.5 mi (9:09 / mi) +120m 8:16 / mi
(sick)

Overtired from missing half a nights sleep on Tuesday and still not really recovered. It makes the AF worse and it was going on and off throughout this jog. Legs felt fine, I did a couple of bursts of faster running but couldn't sustain it when the AF kicked in. Parkside, Weetwood.

running tempo 29:48 [5] 4.0 mi (7:27 / mi) +120m 6:49 / mi

Tempo run round Lawnswood. Trying my arse off, not going very fast. Some chest soreness I think from carrying a wardrobe upstairs on Monday. Also a very stressful day at work that continued into the night - firefighting at 1 in the morning.
