running 1:03:30 [2] 6.5 mi (9:46 / mi) +150m 9:07 / mi
ahr:147 (sick)

Adel Crag. AF was affecting me more or less from the start so I just plodded round - struggled in a couple of places but fine. Frustrating.

orienteering race 55:00 [3] *** 6.0 km (9:10 / km)
(sick)

Aire picnic fun event - team score on Ilkley Moor. Felt the AF on the first climb and slowed to a walk for every uphill after that. As it turned out it didn;t matter much from a team point of view because I wasn't the last of the team to get back - we had given the youngster too much to do. He did alright though.

The orienteering wasn't great, too much bracken made paths the only option for most legs, but I was sound in spite of the AF.

running 1:07:00 [2] 7.0 mi (9:34 / mi) +120m 9:05 / mi
ahr:136

Butcher Hill, Newlay, Kirkstall. Set off at a steady pace but wilted after half an hour and jogged the rest. Feeling a bit out of it all day with a dodgy tummy so not enough to eat and it was hot and my legs ached and after half an hour I just wanted to stop, but still had to get home. Ah well. At least the heart was sound.

Terrain running tempo 19:57 [4] 3.5 km (5:42 / km) +80m 5:07 / km
ahr:157

Meanwood sprint course. Aiming for twenty minutes so quite happy with 19:57. A bit slower than I did in May but that's not surprising. I haven't got my terrain legs back yet and I'm a bit off the pace anyway. Heart rate fine.

running warm up/down 14:00 [2] 1.5 mi (9:20 / mi) +40m 8:37 / mi

Jog to/from Meanwood. Helped a little old lady with her wheelie bin.

Run down to Elmsall station from work, via Hacking Lane
6 PM

running 41:30 [3] 5.5 mi (7:33 / mi) +60m 7:18 / mi
ahr:150

Back from Leeds station via canal, Kirkstall Bridge, Beckett Park. Pushed a bit to get the HR up and it stayed in rhythm the whole time, quite happy with that.

running warm up/down 25:00 [2] 2.0 mi (12:30 / mi)

jog to and from the Hollies
6 PM

running intervals 20:00 [4] 1.5 mi (13:20 / mi)

6 x 400m in the Hollies with 2 mins rest. I was trying hard and the heart didn't cause me any problems but it was never completely stable. I can handle it when I let it settle down between reps. 1:23, 1:21, 1:22, 1:21, 1:24, 1:23. Every other one is slightly uphill.

running 14:00 [3] 1.5 mi (9:20 / mi) +40m 8:37 / mi
(sick)

I was planning to do a longer run but a guinea pig emergency meant I was short of time. Set off to do School Lane feeling quite good and quite fast, until I got to the park when AF started and I gave up, jogged back across the beck and waited for the heart to settle down again. Sprinted up the Donkey Steps more out of frustration than anything else, and the heart worked fine. Frustrating.
