Adel Crag, after driving home via Marsden Bay. Had some chips for lunch and a long drive so feeling a bit short of oomph, but I felt so much more comfortable going up hills than I have been. Struggling a bit more towards the end but kicked up the donkey steps.

orienteering race 1:21:17 [5] 10.0 km (8:08 / km) +300m 7:04 / km

Scottish Champs, Rannoch Forest. A bit frazzled by the time we got there (4 hours+ of driving in the morning), but started good, had a slow patch in the middle, had a gel and finished quite good. None of it got the better of me, and running quite smoothly. Only made two 30-40 sec mistakes, both leaving a control in the wrong direction - all the controls I hit first time. 10k, 81:17, 3rd place. Martin did 76, Ben Stansfield was 2nd in 80. I beat Jase, Tim Griffin which I am pleased with. Actually I am pretty happy all round - excellent area, excellent course and I am getting better at running.
