running 7:55 [3] 1.5 km (5:17 / km)
(sick)

Evie wanted to go for a run so I picked out a 1.5k route in the streets round our house. She set the pace, took the first half steady and speeded up towards the end. I was struggling to keep up with her sprint finish.

It's a Yes from Dr Karthik.

Now I move onto another waiting list. Underwhelming.

Graythwaite long distance, Green course.

Just pootled along from the start, didn't try and run uphill at any point. I was tired from yesterday and I just wanted to enjoy the orienteering. The only time lost was a bit of dithering before #16 - got into the circle and didn't know what was what, found a control that wasn't mine then went a few yards further down and saw the re-entrants I was looking for. Looks like I got fastest split for this but I reckon I lost 20-30 seconds.

1st out of 85 - all old ladies and little girls

Wet and windy. but it dried out by the time I finished.

Esthwaite Intake middle distance, brown course

Very much enjoyed this. Managed to run as far as 7, then it was walk uphill and jog when I could. I lost maybe 20 seconds on the way to #1 because I wasn't sure how far I had gone/was still getting used to the scale, and I lost about half a minute at #17 because I didn't climb soon enough and just got lots of green instead. 9th out of 69.

Nice and sunny.

Terrain running 23:12 [3] 3.0 km (7:44 / km)

Meanwood sprint

Same course round Meanwood as on Saturday. It felt harder, but I was a little bit quicker. I just want to get round on Saturday.

running 11:00 [3] 1.0 mi (11:00 / mi)

to and fro

Walking - Great Whernside from Kettlewell with Tasha, Stan and Evie. Playing in the snow made it a longer and more tiring walk than we intended really, but it was a lovely day.

Meanwood sprint

Running the sprint course I planned in Meanwood in 2009, without a map. Struggling, but quicker than I thought I would be. I have entered Graythwaite so I need to get used to a bit of terrain running.

There and back again
