Note

Thought about going for a jog. Didn't go for a jog.

Note

High Hunsley Circuit, from Brantingham, 25 miles, 6:30. Tried to push the pace, ouch. 13 miles or so of really nice walking, 12 of indifferent to boring. Nice day though. And completely dry feet.

orienteering 44:00 [1] 3.2 km (13:45 / km)

Stroll round light green at the CS cup. Biggest mistake was coming out a bit to too far the right of number 1, about 20 seconds.

Kept catching and getting re-overtaken by a girl being coached round the course by Laura King. She could run pretty well, and her navigation wasn't too bad but they just spent lots of time standing around which allowed me to get ahead again.

Note

Pleasant but muddy walk - Sun Inn, Swinsty Resr, Sword Point, Lindley Wood Resr, Leathley, Pool, Bramhope. 9.5 miles, 2 hours 40.

orienteering 50:00 [1] 3.2 mi (15:37 / mi)

Light Green course, Wharncliffe, walking. No problems apart from hesitating before number 12 because I couldn't make it fit and I couldn't see a re-entrant even though I was looking right at it - 30 secs maybe. Beat Evie by 8 minutes.

Note

Long walk. From Millington Wood car park 25 miles, 7:20. Mostly pretty dry underfoot, made a pleasant change. A long level walk across the plateau then in and out of a few chalk dales before dropping down into the Vale of York and back up to Garrowby Down and the biggest steepest climb of the day climbing out of Deep Dale with a couple of miles to go.

Good weather, quite a lot of sunshine but a bot breezy. Tired and sore afterwards.

Note

walk, after dealing with plumbing issues and sore legs from trying to work under the floorboards.

6 trigs from home, Sugarwell Hill, Gledhow, Roundhay Park, Shadwell, Wike, Harewood, Bowshaws, Eccup, Alwoodley and back down the valley.
