Cycling (exercise bike) 25:00 [1]

Couldn't really do much at circuits so after a few squats and lunges went and sat on one of the exercise bikes in the gym. Couldn't put much effort in holding on one handed and didn't even break a sweat. Not too bothered about losing fitness as that will eventually return but can't concentrate on work unless I do something.

Pain got worse last night so had no choice but to go to a&e. Turns out i've fractured my humerus - here's to 6 weeks of misery. Currently can't even lie down to sleep :(

USMC Thursday headtorch fell run. Bus out to Moscar and run back via the pole. Over 40 people out which was awesome. Took the faster group but 19 of us so a few stops to regroup. Running down to Redmires from the pole was talking, trying to share my headlight with someone and slipped on a rock hitting my shoulder and upper arm pretty bad. Managed to lead the group back with arm in a fixed position which wasn't too bad as the pace wasn't quick. Hurts now though - hoping it will magically heal overnight.

Down to Rachael's via Goodwin, showing the freshers the basics of orienteering after the club coach ran off... then down to uni for a safety meeting, a yoga session with coursemates (weird! but was a good stretching session) then back home after.

Run with Ben and Dave. Down through Hay Wood to Grindleford, along the river to Curbar, up Curbar gap and back along Froggatt. Felt alright ploughing away up the hill, we went up the road instead of the field to keep the momentum going. So much more fun than running round a soggy field.

Took a group of 14 on the short fell run up Pike of Blisco. At the back so walked most of the way up. Then at the summit Hannah took half down and took the other half round some of the orienteering... ran it as a group and lots of stopping to point things out. We were out in total for probably about 3hrs or maybe just over but a fair amount of stopping/walking.
Top weekend - definitely helped by the weather!

Went to Holme Fell, coached some freshers and sat around with the sign in/out sheet. Attempted to do some orienteering but the forest was full of bracken and didn't have time to do a proper course on the actual fell, so went for a jog up to the top of the tree line and round in a loop.

Clock relay.

Took a group on an easy map run around Tarn Howes - stopped a few times to discuss map to ground etc.

Jog round sprint event in Botanical Gardens. Headache and legs very heavy.

ShUOC intervals.. Just a rubbish day in general and felt knackered. 3x3mins, 4x1mins. No energy but felt better after. Early night needed.

With the uni cycling club. Over Strines, Bamford, Grindleford and home up Padley and Ringinglow. About 50km.

Second GIAG Fell run around Redmires and over to the headstone - back of the long group. Cool that of the 60 people we had last week about 35 turned up again for more!
