Nice early morning run with Calum and Jenny. Down through Haywood to Grindleford, along the river to Curbar, up to Curbar gap and back along Froggatt edge. Gorgeous morning and good to get out in the peak as been stuck inside a lot lately.

The North Stands "Race". Ran with Laura for the first two; down to Hillsborough then through Rivelin and up to Sandygate. Nice to have someone to talk to and I definitely wouldn't have managed to run all the way up Hagg hill if I'd been on my own! Then Laura went home and I went down to Bramhall Lane and back up to Tim's.

Part of the men's course from pre - jwoc weekend a year and a half ago. My memories of it then were waist high brambles. It was better today! Legs feeling last night on the small inclines.

4 x 1200m. 4.34, 4.35, 4.39, 4.41. Started every 6 mins. Probably feeling too comfortable. The girl I was running with for the first 2 reps bailed so I was left on my own. Like Saturday, just not pushing myself enough. Shorter reps next week.

Canklow Middle. Made a few silly mistakes in the more technical bit at the top, and misread the map leaving 4 which meant I ended up in brambles. Apart from that just need to do more running, not feeling particularly quick.

Woodhouse Moor parkrun near aunt and uncles house in Leeds. Felt pretty good the whole way and could have kept going quite comfortably at the finish. Beat dad - first time ever :) He had given blood the day before and hadn't run for about a month but pushing the excuses aside!

2 and a half x Kenyan hills. Legs felt good but had no motivation to do this solo. Stopped halfway through the last one as just wasn't moving any faster than I would be running normally. Probably 6.30, 6.45, 2 mins. Will be easier to push myself when back in Sheffield this weekend.

Another Winchester session at Farley Mount. On the gravel tracks in West Wood. 4 x 6 minutes (3 minutes). Found these length reps a lot easier. Hamstrings tightened up after the third so couldn't go very hard on the last one. Need to stretch more.
