Southern Night Champs at Caerwent. Quite straight forward just running round buildings and making sure not to get caught out by uncrossable fences. Won a GPS watch! Was good fun.

Spook relays with Zac at Bolehills. Legs 1, 3 and 5. Felt like hard work but navigation was good. Garmin says 3 days recovery required... good fun as always.

Finished work last week. Got a place at Sandhurst in January so until then just ticking over fitness wise and making the most of my freedom. Excited about the job afterwards, less so about the actual commissioning course... Went for a walk with Katherine this morning, not motivated enough to go for a cycle in the cold this afternoon.

Up to the start. Right achilles has been a bit stiff when starting running this week but fine when warmed up. Needs a good stretch I think.

BL High Pike Blue course. I have missed UK winter orienteering, it's been a while - 2017! Quagmire getting into the parking field so had to park on the road. Nice and claggy to add an extra challenge to the O. Not feeling very spritely on the climbs after yesterday but alright on the flats and downs. Got completely confused on 10, was right on the line and then hit a path which seemed pretty big so thought I was on another path, made a parallel error and ran off to relocate which cost about 5 minutes. Good fun though! Good to know my jacket is properly waterproof too - had a hood full of water afterwards.
