Twilight at Black Mountain north. Hot. Have generally been pretty good about drinking enough when standing out in the sun all day but did not get it right today. Legs a bit tired from intervals but generally just exhausted from the heat I think. Dragged myself round at a walk/slow jog.

Evening cycle around Lake Burley Griffin except came back early as another thunderstorm started. I have turned into a fair weather Aussie wuss. Literally every school class I have taught where there has been a slight drizzle of rain has been cancelled!

1 min on, 1 min off running up the steep south path on Mt Taylor. Jogged down a bit on the recoveries. Did 7 and a half reps before getting to the top.

Slope O on Mt Taylor (downhill). It was very steep, good fun though. With Alison most of the way so stopped to look at things.

Went down to Monga National Park bushwalking with ANUMC. Was great but spent more time travelling then actually walking - apparently this is standard. Then on the way back the car started misfiring. We got back ok but need to see a mechanic. :(

Note

8 hour rogaine with Jaclyn. Walked the whole thing. Definitely prefer mountain marathons as a long distance navigation concept, tracks through the bush weren't particularly interesting and there was no clag/wild weather conditions to make it exciting. Bit of a slog through a forest with the occasional bit of bush bashing (which was grim). Good chat though and went to the beach :)
